It just shows the utter greed there is in football today. Players are bleeding clubs for as much as possible whilst there are teams going out of business under threat of closure. It amazes me that someone on £70,000 a week could be unhappy that he is being treated unfairly. Unbelievable!

SWP should stop getting his dad to stick up for him - you're a big lad now Shaun, speak up for yourself.

If you don't think that 70K a week (3.6million per year) is enough - go and ply your trade elsewhere. Just because Man City have money to burn doesn't mean that they should pay over the odds for anyone.

I like SWP but 70K a week should be more than enough for anyone. If you sign a 4 year contract you should be willing to stick to the terms of that contract like the rest of us.

SWP should concider himself lucky, I have not really followed him that much but did see a bit of him the other night in the England friendly, he set up a good goal, but in the past from what I see it's a little hit and miss in his performnace, no offence to the lad but when Ian Wright took to the field he went out there with an aim, and that was to give an entertaining 90 mins of football, and he did that well. SWP like many of the players today base a teams "heart" on the depth of the back balance. I am not a pro footballer but I can say that if I was offered £70K a week, the ball would be going in the back of the net week in week out! I think most people would agree if you live in the "working class" you would play with more passion thus most probably bringing you more success... no player is worth, or more to the point needs 70K a week.. and this relates to the Gerrard post I commented on a few moments ago.... money making them all crazy! SWP wants 100K give him a £1 per goal, see how much he earns a week then haha!
