Another Win For Chelsea In The Hom

Chelsea seem to be making themselves comfortable at the top of the premier league table after an impressive 2-0 win over Aston Villa which is a good result considering that teams managed by Martin O'Neill always put up stiff resistance against the top four.

The fact that Chelsea have so many injury problems with Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Deco and Ricardo Carvalho all missing makes the result even more impressive and augurs well for when Scolari eventually has a fully fit squad to choose from.

As far as the premiership title race goes Chelsea are obviously in pole position with Manchester United having a sluggish start to their own campaign although Liverpool have looked impressive with Fernando Torres once again looking lethal up front and of course Gerrard drives them on from midfield.

The top four will remain the same for this season at least and although there is a long way to go until May the longer that Chelsea remain in top spot then the more you have to fancy them for the title.
