Chelsea Look A Good Bet For Title

The premiership season gets underway today and it will be interesting to see how Chelsea start life under Phil Scolari who is the genuine world class manager they needed to finally replace Jose Mourinho although under Avram Grant last season they only just missed out.

It is inconceivable that Roman Abramovich and his millions will settle for another campaign without at least winning the premiership title if not the champions league so in addition to the Scolari factor and the arrivals of Boswinga and Deco it is hard to look beyond Chelsea for the title although as always Manchester United will no doubt run them close.

It will be good for the game if both Liverpool and Arsenal can make it a genuine four horse race that spans the season both have strengthened their squads with Torres and Keane looking a good strike partnership on paper while Arsenal under Wenger always seem to produce teams capable of top quality football although whether they have done enough to close the gap on the top two is not clear.
